  • Week 299 – November 29th – Wicked part 2

The reason we were going to Bluewater, was to see the second film of Wicked.

It was a good film, though I thought the 1st one was better.

    Still recommend the film.

  • Week 299 – November 29th – Sky Delight

As we drove to Bluewater, Claire took this amazing picture of the sky. Don’t you think?

I think it looks like the tree is on fire.

  • Week 299 – November 28th – A treat

With it being Black Friday and so-called cheap deals around. I went to Curry’s and looked about getting a new laptop to help with the viewing of cricket matches from my birthday money I had received.

After reading up some information before hand and looking around on the internet and then in the shop, I was able to buy a good HP laptop with over £300 saving.

Thank you everyone that had given me a gift

  • Week 299 – November 27th – Hatfield

Today I drove Claire to Hatfield as she still wasn’t allowed to drive and had a very important meeting to attend.

How people drive on the M25 motorway every day is beyond me, and this was only slow-moving traffic in the rain.

I had a pleasant time in the building, nicely lay out and good facilities.

  • Week 299 – November 26th – Budget review

  • Week 299 – November 25th – Harassment Prevention Training

I completed a training course for work regarding Harassment Prevention.  This was for inside and outside work, especially with not getting into a situation around betting on a match.

Amazing what people will try and do to get advantage on a game, just to win money.

  • Week 299 – November 24th – Car insurance pain

Over the weekend, I received the quote for the car insurance and couldn’t believe the increase, as I had not read or seen anything about people complaining about an increase, compared to the previous years.

Hastings Direct were asking for £1,070, up from the previous year £644.

    Crazy increase.

So, I rang them and after going through everything, the lowest they could reduce the policy too, was £832.96.

I had already looked around on the GoCompare website and even though there were cheaper rates, I went for AA platinum policy of £516.14.

Just so annoying that every year you must deal with this; the day before I actually saw a television advert for Hastings that they were the cheapest car insurance around. Obviously not true and false advertisement.

  • Week 299 – November 24 – DBS all OK

Overnight I had confirmation that my ECB DBS had come back all OK.

Means I’m covered for another year regarding coaching and working with children.
