Week 325 – May 30th – Goring by Sea
After record breaking temperatures for May earlier in the week, we decided to take a trip to the coast at Goring by Sea and enjoy a relaxing day.
For the first time we were able to park in the car park and in this day and age, it’s rare, as the car park is free.
It wasn’t over packed, but several people went into the sea.
Had a lovely late lunch at The Sea Lane Cafe.

Week 325 – May 29th – First Rose
First rose flower of the year, on Claire’s mum’s rose tree.
First rose of the year. We think it’s looking good and many more to come and, on my dad’s, rose too.

Week 325 – May 28th – Health Insight Survey
The monthly health insight survey completed, lot of feedback regarding the SVT waiting list.

Week 325 – May 25th – Back below 18 stone
So, after a few weeks, I’m back below 18 stone.
Coming in at 17 stone and 12lbs 6oz
Hopefully with the temperature up, can I keep below 18 stone for a while now?

Week 325 – May 25th – Greenwich
With a weather breaking record for the hottest day in May ever (34C.8 at Kew Gardens), plus the hottest bank holiday day for any time of the year in England, we went up to Greenwich and had a walk and sit around down by the River Thames and in the park too.

Of course The Shard Annoying that you can only park for 4 hours in Greenwich Park and no reduction in the parking cost for being a bank holiday which used to be the case for parking in the past.
Once again, the cost-of-living coming home to hit.

Week 324 – May 24th – West Ham United v Leeds United
Final game of the season and we have an impact in the relegation battle; will we send West Ham United down.

West Ham’s 14-year stay in the Premier League has come to an end after they were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the season despite beating Leeds at London Stadium.
The Hammers needed to win and hope that Tottenham lost against Everton to have any hope of retaining their top-flight status.
For a long while it looked like they would struggle to get the victory they needed as they put in a lethargic display in sweltering conditions, with their cause not helped by Spurs having taken a first-half lead against Everton.
But the moment the home fans had been waiting for came in the 67th minute when Taty Castellano headed in Jarrod Bowen’s corner at the back post.
It got even better for the home side with 11 minutes remaining as they doubled their lead, Bowen driving a neat, angled finish into the far corner.
Substitute Callum Wilson added a third in stoppage time, and the Hammers had done their part, but they still needed Everton to turn things around at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That outcome failed to materialise as Roberto De Zerbi’s side held firm to win and retain their Premier League status.
Relegation means West Ham will play Championship football for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Leeds, meanwhile, finish their campaign in 14th as they lost for the first time in nine games.
Not the way we wanted to end the season, especially as we were joint 1st performing side in the last 9 games.
The main thing was we stayed in the Premiership and with Sunderland, first team promoted teams to do so in three seasons.
We just need to make sure we keep Daniel Farke and give him more money to strength the team to challenge more and not be in the bottom half of the table for most of the season.
Well done, Leeds in staying up and reaching the FA Cup semi-final.
