Week 258 – February 14th – Bridget Jones Mad about the boy
To enjoy Valentines, we decided to go and see the new film about Bridget Jones, this is meant to be the last one, we will see.
If it is, it went out in style and was a great film, with both sad and laughter moments in the film.
Very enjoyable evening.

Week 257 – February 9th – Toilet seat
We had been out during the day and on the way home, we went into Homebase, not realising that it was closing down and had huge sales on.
We had tried to get a new toilet seat via Next, but both of them had issues with, so were returned.
There was a 60% saving here on the toilets seats, so decided to get one and some other items as well and made a great saving.
This was sad to see Homebase closing, as we had used it a lot during the pandemic.

This was actually easiest toilet seat I have fitted -
Week 257 – February 7th – Met with Rob Bristow
On this cold wet evening, I went over to Petts Wood and met Rob Bristow. It’s been a few years since we have seen each other.
We went to a restaurant called the Little India.
Never been before, but the food was very good as was the service. Had a great evening with Rob and then went over to the DayLight Inn for a drink and carry on the conversation. Excellent night.

Week 256 – February 2nd – Greenwich – Part 2

Shadow capture of us on the River Thames, shows how sunny it was in early February.

Week 256 – February 2nd – Greenwich – Part 1
As today was a clear day, we went up to Greenwich Park.
It does annoy me that parking here on a Sunday is more expensive than any other day.
They should be encouraging people to be out in the fresh air and enjoying the park.

A panoramic view from Greenwich park, of the City of London, to Canary Wharf and the O2

Of course a picture of The Shard – in the middle St Paul’s Cathedral and to the right Sky Gardens building -
Week 252 – January 12th – Battersea
As the weather was decent, we drove up to Battersea Park and had walk along river Thames and crossed over at Albert Bridge and then walked the Thames on that side before crossing back over at Chelsea Bridge.
We then spent some time in Battersea Power Station, where we had a yummy baguette and coffee, before go back home.

Of course when in London a picture of The Shard.

Week 251 – January 4th – Battersea – Part 3

Looking towards central London, of course you can see The Shard.
The building on the left is St George Wharf I think London looks lovely during the night time and with the light reflection off the River Thames.

Another Christmas tree as we leave Battersea -

In late afternoon we took a train trip up to Battersea to have a look around before all the Christmas stuff was taken down.
Some pictures from the trip.
