Holiday, trips and events
We visited Claire’s dad today and took a trip to Dover cliff tops.
It was a clear day and could see so much of France as you can see from the pictures.

Today we took a trip to the dark side and went to Essex.
To a shop called Ashes to Glass. This was so Claire, who took a small part of her mum’s ashes, to be made into a pendant to wear, so that she will have her always close to her.
The shop was in a small village and was very well laid out.
Today I went to see Martin Ives. Thankfully I was able to park in the car park where he works as the weather was dreadful (heavy rain).
Had a good conversation regarding several things and he looked well.
As we were getting bored indoors, we took a drive down to Headcorn Aerodrome.
A couple of pictures from the trip, it was actually quite a misty day, but still busy at this small aerodrome.

Final pictures from the trip to the park and the Thames.

A few more miles of the Thames walk done now, but still over 160 miles to do.

As the weather was still being unusually warm for this time of year, we went to Battersea Park and took a walk along the Thames.
Enjoy the pictures and video (I’m very proud of this video), hope you enjoy too.

So in two days, had seen the police and fire boats on the Thames.

Today we went up to Greenwich Park and the Thames. Whilst walking near the Queen house, there were many trailers and equipment and saw lots of extras dressed up for some filming shoot.
I’ve done some searching, but cannot find out what was being filmed there, if anyone does, please leave a comment.

Today, myself, Claire and her dad went to the “The Black Robin” pub and had a lunch, plus also to see if it was the right place for the wake after the cremation.
The lunch was good and the service too, on looking at the room where the function could be held, it was decided this would be the location for the event.
I can’t remember the last time I had been in a pub, it was before the pandemic had happened.

These are the final pictures from the visit to Ightham Mote House, I hope you have enjoyed them?
