Week 152 – February 11th – Biggin Hill – Part 4

Final pictures from today’s visit.

A new hotel is being built for the airport. Should be open this spring.

Just opposite the café and new hotel, is a formula 1 technology centre.

Somewhere around the airport is meant to be home to Bernie Ecclestone car museum, but you’re not allowed in.

Private jet landing at the airport.

This is so true and we are so grateful too.

As you drive into the parking area for the café, there is a small garden that has been created to remember all those that served and saved our country and Europe in the Second World War.

Thank you. Some people are very clever in how this statue was made.

Several private jets at the far end of the airport.

Small plane just taken off from Biggin Hill, you can see it was a murky cloudy day today.

These planes are used by people learning to fly.

Whilst we were out, we decided to go to Biggin Hill for a bit of lunch.

Went up to Greenwich today.

When we got to the Thames Path, we were surprised to see a warship docked at the Greenwich pier.
