Week 280 – July 19th – London Athletics – Part 3

Roger Black, Iwan Thomas, Jamie Baulch and Mark Richardson – plus Mark Hylton, who ran in the heats getting there upgraded World Champions Gold medal from Sebastian Coe. Roger Black, Iwan Thomas, Jamie Baulch and Mark Richardson – plus Mark Hylton, who ran in the heats – finished second to the USA at the event, which was held in Athens (1997).
The Americans were later stripped of the title as a result of an anti-doping violation by team member Antonio Pettigrew and the British line-up were upgraded to world champions.
Shame they had to wait 28 years to get there gold medal, but they were given amazing cheer and support on receiving them today.

I was sitting in the garden and noticed this butterfly flying around, it decided to take a rest on one of the plants and I was able to capture the lovely colours of the butterfly.
