Week 224 – June 30th – Surrey v Essex – Part 1
With the weather actually being decent all week, with Claire we went to the Kia Oval for the 1st day for the county championship match between Surrey and Essex, which was 1st v 2nd in the league.
Kent are now bottom and looking like they are going to be relegated.
Enjoy the pictures and videos from this visit.

Of course its raining as you find a seat, pitch covered. What is going on with the English summer? Yes as the pictures shows, just after we sat down, it started with fine rain and of course was overcast.

Ben Foakes with Alex Stewart. I don’t understand why he has been dropped from England. Best keeper around.
Toss of the coin, Rory Burns (Surrey) and Tom Westley(Essex) with umpires Peter Hartley and Graham Lloyd. Toss of the coin went ahead still, so it looks like we could start on time.

Week 224 – June 28th – Lottery win
We seem to be on a small roll with the lottery recently regarding small wins.
A lucky dip and £30, maybe a big one around the corner, we can only dream.

Another win for us, lucky dip and money. yippee -

Some more pictures from this lovely warm day at Canterbury.

Lunch time scoreboard and not looking good for Kent. 130 runs added by Lancashire in the morning session and no wickets lost or likely to be taken.
