DIY journey

  • Week 20 –July 13th 2020 – Week 17 of lockdown part 1

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I said watch the right hand corner and the garage, well here you go, my DIY skills were expanding and I think this was the first time that I used the term MJ Limited here to serve 🙂

The elephant found it new home and new companion too 🙂

Also turned this into a bird eating area, with a bird house and a walk way to make it easier for them to consume the food.

Though eagle eye people will also notice other changes, more to come. 🙂

    What do you think?

    Feel free to leave comments.

Did I really let the garage get that bad?  Bad me.

    Garage_0020
    What a MESS!!

Obviously I did, looking at this in the garden, also make a note of the right hand side and in front of the garage.

    Garage_0021
Yes it was that bad 🙁

How much work to be done and runs to the rubbish dump?

So who you going to call? COVID19 buster.

What a difference, can actually use it again and find stuff, well I could before, but this is easier.

  • Week 16 –June 15th 2020 – Week 13 of lockdown

Now my DIY was stepping up a level (yes for you experts), this may be nothing, but as I mentioned before, before 2020 my skills were 0.

So to change this small bedroom from this

    BeforeBefore

to this was a big deal, all done in four days. I think I did a good job. What do you think?

Well though I know I’m good at something, like cutting down or smashing stuff up, now and again I do need help.

Thankfully my wife steps in often too help, great team work to get rid of this annoying willow over our drive.

  • Week 15 –June 8th 2020 – Week 12 of lockdown

Now as I have said earlier, I feel for any new plant that is purchased, as I know they will die at the hands of my lovely wife Claire.

But COVID19 seems to have had an impact on her, as these plants and all other plants that have been put out, have lived and died naturally, well done Claire!! xx

    It’s annoying I don’t have a before picture, but I’ve learnt that 🙂

  • Week 14 –June 1st 2020 – Week 11 of lockdown

We’re not the greatest gardeners in the world, until this year I pity any new plant coming to our home, as It was like signing them to an early death sentence!

This year though, the lockdown has had amazing effect on Claire and looking after the plants in the garden, nothing has died!!!

This is the left hand side of the garden, which had been completely overhauled by MJ Limited.

  • Week 13 – May 25th 2020 – Week 10 of lockdown

So the DIY project starts, now you have to remember, prior to 2020 as mentioned before, my DIY skills was breaking up stuff or passing a screw driver to my father in law and sometimes I got that wrong!

So to paint these wooden chairs was a BIG thing for me lol.

Now me and DIY, is like England and Europe, America and Trump, potatoes and chocolate, they simply don’t go!!

Before this year, all I was good at, was breaking or smashing stuff up, or giving my father-in-law a screwdriver.

We had been very lucky to have found a great builder called Terry, who we could leave at home and go of to work, as we TRUSTED him that much.

Sadly in February 2019, he had a heart attack whilst driving and never recovered 🙁

All I hope, is he is proud of me as he looks down at what I have done this year!! Thank you for everything you did. Also in our early days to my father in law too, especially the bathroom tiles. Plus our next door neighbour Ron, especially with the garage window frames.

Of course this was simple, well you have to start somewhere don’t you, so giving the kitchen unit a cleanup and tidy up, little was I know to with the English weather performing so well what was too come!!Kitchen unit
