DIY journey
Less than two weeks after we planted dad’s rose tree, it’s come out blooming.
Lovely colours and smell.

Some more pictures of the roses in the memorial area of our garden.

After we got back from Greenwich, we had planned to plant the rose tree we got for my dad in memory.
We had a bit of change up in the rose area of the garden, and now just have two rose trees for my dad and Claire’s mum.
Claire did further planting whilst I cleared up the front drive.

This flower is over 10 years old, considering were not gardeners, were impressed how this is blooming this year.

We had planned to go up to London today, for our final elephant charity egg hunt.
We wanted to go up a bit later in the day, to get cheaper car parking at Sidcup station and cheaper rail tickets
Erm NO
There were no spaces at Sidcup station, or New Eltham station or even Mottingham station.
Wasn’t expecting that at all.
We ended up going to a garden centre NottsCutts in Royal Tunbridge Wells and purchased this plant.

We had been out during the day and on the way home, we went into Homebase, not realising that it was closing down and had huge sales on.
We had tried to get a new toilet seat via Next, but both of them had issues with, so were returned.
There was a 60% saving here on the toilets seats, so decided to get one and some other items as well and made a great saving.
This was sad to see Homebase closing, as we had used it a lot during the pandemic.

We had noticed that Claire’s mum rose was starting to bloom again, which is impressive considering we are now in November.
A couple of pictures.

As you can see from the couple of pictures. Claire’s mum rose tree and the new rose plant are blooming well again.

So with the weather being decent for our week away and getting warmer for the following week.
We decided to varnish the garden bench. I think it turned out better than we thought.
Do you agree?
