Wow that was quick, it said would take 10 days to process the application.
Less than 3 hours later, I receive an email and everything was OK and I’m good to go.
General life story
Wow that was quick, it said would take 10 days to process the application.
Less than 3 hours later, I receive an email and everything was OK and I’m good to go.
This morning I did a new DBS check, something that should have been simple, turned into a bit of a shambles as the photo app wouldn’t read the passport.
In the end I had to do it manually, but thankfully that went through all OK.
Now just to wait, approx 10 days.
Today was St George’s Day, but for some reason it’s not celebrated as much as the other UK’s saints days or even other countries events in England.
It was also the first ever government alert test, which was meant to go off at 3pm, we actually got ours 1 minute before 3pm as were just leaving a car park.
I couldn’t understand why people were complaining about this.
Hopefully it won’t have to be used for a long time in the future for real.
I was out doing my daily walk and I thought I could hear sirens.
Next moment, I see a car driving on the wrong side of the road and then a little further back a police car. This was in a built up residential area.
The vehicle being chased definitely didn’t want to be caught, but was also driving in a manner that was dangerous to everyone else.
I hope they were stopped sooner than later.
I chased today, as I had no response regarding the reductions in visits to the recycling centre I posted a view week ago.
This time I got response very quickly.
“Dear Mr James,
Thank you for your email.
The Fair Use Policy decision has been called in which means that the decision will be discussed at the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting in more detail. This means that the implementation of the decision will be postponed.
We will respond to residents who have raised questions regarding the new policy after the Scrutiny Committee meeting which will be held on 25th April at the Civic Offices.
Kind regards,
Asya
Asya Mircheva”
Let’s see what happens after the 25th April?
The man turned up this afternoon to do the oven cleaning.

He has done a great job, don’t you think?
Gave them an excellent review on Google.
Whilst we were in the Greenwich market, I purchased for Claire a picture of Lewis Hamilton as she is a big fan of his.
The artist is very talent and has several pictures of motor racing stars and other sporting scenes.

During the earlier part of this year, we had been visiting various garden centres to find a rose tree to put in a plant pot for Claire’s mum.
Today we purchased the rose tree and will plant it as soon as possible. Mercy of the English weather.
Pictures will follow when we do.
I sent this email after reading about this on the nextdoor website, where they would limit the number of times you could go to the recycling rubbish centres in the council area. Are they serious?
Hello Aysa
Please can you prevent this ridiculous idea of only 10/20 visits a year to the recycling centres, is the council looking for flying tipping and the borough to look worse than it is already?
If you know people are miss using the systems, then stop those people and don’t impact the majority that use when required.
Makes we wonder what the council tax is for?
Which more of it will be used to clean up the borough due to the fly tipping increase, which will happen.
This will also stop people helping their neighbours who can’t get to the recycling centres for various reasons.
I must admit I thought our borough during Covid 19 was one of the best organised regarding the number plate usage for access to the recycling centres compared to other councils.
So please stop this.
