Week 146 – December 27th – HM Land Registry Property Alert Activity Update
Thankfully the update today, showed nothing has happened against our properties, but it’s frightening to read how often people’s homes are sold or something happened to them without them knowing.
You just don’t know what is going on do you?

Week 145 – December 23rd – ASDA
I know it’s silly season, especially for shopping, but I couldn’t believe it when I drove into the car park at ASDA at 06:25am, normally there is just about 10 cars, and I suspect a few of these are staff, but today, the car park was about ¾ full. The store only opens at 6am.
It was just ridiculous inside the store, thankfully I know some of the staff quite well and they were able to get me some items that were not on the shop floor. Just madness.

Week 144 – December 18th – Yummy
This was a very enjoyable roast pork.
The crackling was best I’ve had for years.

Roast pork YUMMY -
Week 144 – December 12th – So cold
The night was coldest night since February 2021. Which is all you need with the price of heating going through the roof.
Thankfully our 15 tog quilt kept us very warm.

Week 141 – November 21st – Car insurance
Over the weekend I received my car insurance renewal and nearly had a heart attack!
They were asking £747.93, up from £389.47.
How could they justified such an increase, when I hadn’t had any claims during the last year?
I rang them, took about 20 minutes to get through and it does annoy me, when the first questions they ask, are the same as the automatic questions you have to answer to get through to speak to someone, WHY?
They could only reduce it by about £30 and that was for the mileage being reduced, there was nothing else they could do. Obviously didn’t want to keep their customers.
With a help of a friend, I had already done some research, and there were many insurances able to do it for around £400 to £450.
I finally took a new insurance for £431.
I posted on Trustpilot about their customer service and the response was along the lines of, that’s how it works.
