This morning I did my third ONS living survey over the phone, as they check to see how we feel and answer various questions about life.
Overall very pleasant and hopefully useful for the future years of living in England.
General life story

I use a website called Nextdoor, very useful for finding out things going on local, as well as useful tips and finding local trade people.
Yesterday when I used the site, every time I clicked on the comments, to see all the comments, nothing expanded, even on ones that had worked the previous day.
I must admit they don’t make it easy to report something, as I had to search around to find out our too contact them. Why do companies do this?
Finally I did. They responded, saying that they would look into it, and overnight, I got a response, saying it was resolved.
Which it was, so good quick turnaround, as it was making the website pointless.
So I updated my car insurance details for the new car, always amazes me how much more this makes the car insurance. Extra £160 pound I had to pay.
Be interesting to see what the renewal will be in December.

Today I received a phone call that I wasn’t expecting.
Last year I ordered a new car, as there was a delay in new cars because of COVID 19 and chips.
When I ordered it, was told between March and June of this year, which was fine as it would be a 23 registration.
The call today, said that the car was here and because it had come in January, it would be a 72 registration.
We even went to KIA to discuss this, but cutting the long story short, it was because it had arrived in January and couldn’t be kept over till March for the new registration number plate.
Normally you are happy if something comes in early, but in this instance you’re not.
We did get over £1,000 worth of stuff due to the inconvenience.
Picking the new car up on Monday.
This afternoon I got an email, as I had registered to help with NHS research.
It was do a survey, I just thought it was strange as it was about weight, but when you visit the dentist.
Not too sure how the two go in hand, but I completed the survey.
This weekend we spent time with Claire’s dad to sort out her mums stuff. They didn’t realise how many tops she had.
So many she had, quite a few still had their labels on.
We took some stuff to the local charity shops, but apart from one, they just wanted one bag of stuff.
So all done now, not the nicest thing to do, but it has to be done.
After doing the weekly shop, I went to the lottery booth and gave the lady my ticket and said could I have the lucky dip I won for tomorrow’s lottery.
She called from the machine, you won’t have a lucky dip as you have won £70, I went pardon,
You got three numbers and have won £70. I was taken aback, because when I check the ticket, if I get two numbers, I always check the line again to make sure I haven’t missed any numbers, which I must have done this time.
Good way to start the day 🙂

Thankfully the update today, showed nothing has happened against our properties, but it’s frightening to read how often people’s homes are sold or something happened to them without them knowing.
You just don’t know what is going on do you?
