Feedback from the year and how my portfolio was doing.

Thank you for your email and I agree that 2020 was a difficult year on so many fronts. 2021 offers the potential for further equity price growth but this could simply be because there is no alternative (TINA). With the unpresented levels of stimulus that have been put in place to keep economies going through the pandemic we must now be watchful on how governments and central banks row back from these emergency measures and hope that they have learnt from the taper tantrum of 2013.

According to the valuation I can see this morning the Brewin Dolphin portfolio is now xxxx a gain of nearly 10% since inception in July.

It was a bit chilly today, so made the living room looked homely with the fire on. Keep the dog warm too.

Now down by the Thames. It was very surreal, with no boats on the water because of Covid19.

On Boxing day, (the day after Christmas in England), we decided to go to Greenwich Park and Greenwich. Some more photography practicing of course.

    Greenwich
General James Wolfe and London Sky line

Built in 1930 to commemorate General James Wolfe (1727-1759), this Grade II listed structure was designed by Dr. Tait Mackenzie and a gift from the Canadians.

The statue commemorates Wolfe’s victory against the French at Quebec which secured Canada for the British. Wolfe, whose parents lived in Macartney House on the edge of the park, died in the battle.

The monument was unveiled by the Marquis de Montcalm, a descendant of the Commander-in-Chief of French forces who also died at the Battle of Quebec.

Wolfe lived in Greenwich and is buried in a local church.

The Millennium Dome was originally used to house the Millennium Experience, an exhibition to celebrate the beginning of the third millennium.

It changed to The O2 nine years ago and has since become the best live events venue in the country (not that we’re biased!)

It’s also home to awesome experiences such as Up at The O2 and a whole host of bars and restaurants.
