Month: September 2022

  • Week 130 – September 8th – Browns

We had booked to have a meal at Browns restaurant.

Still went, but just surreal with the earlier news today.

We drank a toast to the Queen.

It was still a lovely meal and evening.

  • Week 130 – September 8th – Queen Elizabeth II

We were walking around Bluewater, when Claire got a ping on her mobile.

It was a breaking news that the Queen had passed away.

Even though during the day, the family had been asked together, it didn’t seem real, as we only saw pictures of her two days before with the kissing of the hand duties for the new prime minister.

    Seventy years’ service, incredible.

    RIP

  • Week 130 – September 6th – KIA Oval ballot

Entered the ticket ballot for the cricket next year at the Kia Oval.

    See if I’m lucky here.

  • Week 129 – September 4th – Biggin Hill

Afterwards we went to café at Biggin Hill airport and had small bite to eat.

Again able to capture the spitfire after it landed.

  • Week 129 – September 4th – Memories

This is where it all started, though it wouldn’t be possible now, looking at this picture.

This is where from the Easter bank holiday until the school summer holidays finished, on average about 8 of us came here and played cricket all day.

We even brought a lawn mower up to cut a pitch every so often.

Looking at it now, it appears no one plays on this land, how the world has changed.

    Cricket
This was where a lot of my summer day was spent playing cricket.
  • Week 129 – September 3rd – Dragonfly

We went down to see Claire parents and again the weather was good.

Whilst sitting in the garden, I was able to capture this picture of a dragonfly.

I thought unusual, it stayed in the area for a very long time.

    Dragonfly
I’m very proud of this picture. Good capture of the dragonfly.
  • Week 129 – September 2nd – Sports Fan Survey

This morning I took part in a sports fan survey, but it shows how things are changing as it was all about NFT’s, Fan Tokens, the Metaverse and Fan Research Platforms.

I’ll be honest, a lot of it went over my head. ?

What about actually playing or watching the game?
