Month: May 2023

  • Week 164 – May 6th – Coronation

Today we were at Claire’s dad to watch the Coronation of King Charles III, for those under 70 years old, this would be the first one we have seen.

I didn’t realise until made on commentary that it also rained on the Queen Coronation back in 1952.

You can always count on the British weather, but as always we carry on and pulled of an amazing event.

  • Week 164 – May 5th – Covid 19 over

    Well not quite.

The WHO today officially announced the pandemic over regarding Covid 19, though still saying it’s with us for ever.

Who would have thought back in January 2020, what an impact was about to happen on the world?

I still think it came out of a Chinese lab, but we will never know.

    Stay safe out there.

  • Week 164 – May 5th – DBS check results

Wow that was quick, it said would take 10 days to process the application.

Less than 3 hours later, I receive an email and everything was OK and I’m good to go.

  • Week 164 – May 5th – DBS check

This morning I did a new DBS check, something that should have been simple, turned into a bit of a shambles as the photo app wouldn’t read the passport.

In the end I had to do it manually, but thankfully that went through all OK.

Now just to wait, approx 10 days.

  • Week 164 – May 3rd – New plants looking good

Just a picture of the new plants that we had potted recently, looking good. Plus the red robin still going strong.

As you can see the bench is still covered because we have had hardly any decent weather.

    Garden
New plants looking good and the red robin at the back too.
  • Week 164 – May 3rd – Sam Allardyce

What is going on at Leeds United, how can Sam Allardyce do anything with four games left in the season?

He’s replaced Javi Gracia after just 10 weeks in charge, the second shortest manager rein in the premiership history.

I can’t see us staying up now, especially with the goal difference and struggling to score.

    I hope I’m proved wrong.
