Week 271 – May 14th – Dad’s funeral

Dad’s last journey was his dream car – a Bentley. Well, the day has finally arrived and thankfully the weather gods must have been happy with dad, as it was a lovely sunny warm day.
We got over to mum’s house at midday and just sat and talked before the funeral cars arrived.
Did my dad do some extra planning, as the driver we had, his main trade was as a mechanic.
The funeral route took us passed and stopped where they used to live.
We arrived at the cemetery and had a wonderful service provided by the vicar that my mum had known for many years.
After that, we then went around to the burial location and the coffin was lowered down and many of us threw earth and roses down.
My mum was pleased how it went.
We then went back to mum and dad’s home
Ziya and Steve in memory of my dad, did a BBQ which went down very well with all the people that came back.
It was a lovely day, and I checked again with mum, and she was very happy with our it all went.

Bentley, all three cars were immaculate.
Enjoying the sun and a cup of tea in his back garden. RIP in DAD

Week 271 – May 14th – The long haul
Just shows it’s the long haul, regarding the markets, especially when you have a Trump around.
The 19k I lost on March 9th week, has now been recovered with a 1K bonus.
Just annoying that I had to lose that with all these tariff issues.

Week 271 – May 13th – Fibromyalgia awareness day
Today is Fibromyalgia awareness day, as showing on this board outside a tube station in London.
The writing is very accurate from what Claire goes through, one day she can walk without any issues, the next day it’s like she is treading in water as she is in so much pain.
It’s not nice seeing the one you love in so much pain, for no reason other than her body.
I’m so lucky she gets up every day and battles on.
Love you, Claire.

I’m amazed how my wife Claire gets up every day and just carries on most days as if she has nothing wrong with her. I’m so proud of her and love her so much. It’s illness like this that people don’t see as there hidden, as the writing above at a tube stations, no two days are the same, coming down the stairs one day is not a problem, next day she could have shooting pain in her legs. -

Week 270 – May 10th – Dad’s rose – Part 1
After we got back from Greenwich, we had planned to plant the rose tree we got for my dad in memory.
We had a bit of change up in the rose area of the garden, and now just have two rose trees for my dad and Claire’s mum.
Claire did further planting whilst I cleared up the front drive.
