Whilst all the issues with my throat and ears were going on, we had our roof cleaned.

After pictures. You can see a change, but will notice more after we have some rain, which could be awhile as we are in dry sunny spell.

This morning, I was awake in the early hours as my throat was burning and when I swallowed made my earache even more painful.
I don’t usually like having to call the medical world, but this was hurting me too much, so I rang 111 and this is when it became a farce, they can only deal with one symptom, even though the pain was the same, I even went to a supervisor and I felt this was a farce, but got the same answer.
In the end I gave in, and they put through my case. I had a doctor call me at 4am and said it sounds like I have a throat infection and that I could have a 9am appointment with my surgery this morning.
09:30am came and still no call, so I rang the surgery, and once I got through, was told that there is no 9am call, but that I was on a list for a call from a doctor.
After the farce with 111, I had posted a post on the Nextdoor website, most responses were saying to go to the pharmacy.
It got to 11am and I hardly had any voice left, so call the surgery again, I couldn’t believe it when I was told the doctor doing the list had been called out on a emergency home visit.
I then decided to go to the pharmacy and saw the pharmacist who was brilliant and within less than five minutes, she said I had a throat infection and likely chest infection, so prescribed me antibiotics.
I wished I had gone there first thing this morning.

Earlier in the day, we visited my dad’s grave as it was Father’s Day, first one since he sadly passed away this year. It was a lovely sunny day and met my mum and sisters, plus Ziya too.
Late afternoon, we went and saw the film “The Salt Path”, this is based on a true story, about a couple, who husband had some illness and decided to sell up and walk around the west coast.
Very enjoyable film.
