  • Week 18 –June 29th 2020 – Week 15 of lockdown

This was the news I had been waiting for. I was in a good place now and with the weather being so good, I had already made myself available to play for New Ash Green.

    Dear all,

We are delighted that the UK Government has given the green light for recreational cricket in England* to return from Saturday July 11.

The latest update from the UK Government signals progression from Step 3 to Step 4 of ECB’s roadmap to return for the recreational game, meaning competitive cricket matches in England with adjustments to respect hygiene and social distancing would be permitted.

ECB has maintained a constant dialogue with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) throughout this process and the UK Government have stated that COVID-secure guidance will be published in the coming days.

Guidelines are already prepared for the return of recreational cricket and following the Prime Minister’s comments, will now be finalised and published early next week.

Did I really let the garage get that bad?  Bad me.

    What a MESS!!

Obviously I did, looking at this in the garden, also make a note of the right hand side and in front of the garage.

    Garage_0021
Yes it was that bad 🙁
    Garage_0023
How much work to be done and runs to the rubbish dump?

So who you going to call? COVID19 buster.

    Garage_0022
Who you going to call COVID19 buster!!

What a difference, can actually use it again and find stuff, well I could before, but this is easier.

    Garage_0024
    Now that’s much better. 🙂

New garden ornament, but where is it going to go?

  • Week 15 –June 8th 2020 – Week 12 of lockdown

Now earlier in the year (February) we had done a Government National Statistics survey about living. We were asked at the end if we would do other surveys and we said yes, not knowing that the next one would be so major!!

In early June I received a letter which had On Her Majesty’s Service, was I finally going to be James Bond 🙂

    COVID19 survey swab testing

Erm NO, this was to be COVID19 swab testing, first for five weeks in a row and then once a month for a year.

We thought anything to help fight this virus, it’s not pleasant, but at least we do ourselves and we know we are in the clear or not. Plus reading all these stories about people struggling to get a test, we had them coming to us 🙂

  • Week 15 –June 8th 2020 – Week 12 of lockdown

Now as I have said earlier, I feel for any new plant that is purchased, as I know they will die at the hands of my lovely wife Claire.

But COVID19 seems to have had an impact on her, as these plants and all other plants that have been put out, have lived and died naturally, well done Claire!! xx

  • Week 12 – May 18th 2020 – Week 9 of lockdown

My dad was able to go for a check-up regarding his myeloma cancer, and I’m sure due to COVID19 and not having appointments, it had resurfaced.

He had two blood transfusions this week, which thankfully sorted this out and would need a daily injection to see if it could improve further.

  • Week 7 – April 13th 2020 – Week 4 of lockdown

So a week after our gracious Queen spoke to us during lockdown, giving us the war time spirit and strength with a Vera Lynn classic “Well Meet Again” and what a backing group!!!

  • Week 6 – April 6th 2020 – Week 3 of lockdown

Hmm that project didn’t last long thanks to Covid19.

I know, let do from 2000, all test matches, see how players have performed this century. Of we start.

  • Week 5 – March 30th 2020 – Week 2 of lockdown

2nd April, was a day that was going to start a change in my life. Due to our friend Covid19, I had a Zoom meeting with a financial adviser Nikki Rowell (Foster Denovo – has given me permission to use) Please note this was a free meeting.

I had a simple question, could I retire?

After an hour meeting, Nikki initial reaction was YES.

From the information that I provided, he would produce a document for me to review and take it from there.

If you need a finanical advisor and I would fully recommend it, I can introduce you to Nikki, the same as me, your first meeting would be free and you decide if you want to work with Nikki or not.

Nikki does know, as this was very hard for me to do, trust someone with my future and finance. Just as I was looking into Nikki and his company (trust me I did, I even rang the FCA as I wasn’t happy with something I read on the FCA website about Foster Denovo, but they explained it – all good, even though I don’t watch much television, I kept seeing an advert for pension scamming and the scammer on a jet ski bike and two elderly people broke.

    This was worrying Claire too.

  • Week 4 – March 23rd 2020 – Week 1 of lockdown

Thank you to Annemarie Plas for coming up with the clap for NHS and front line staff in this fight against the COVID19 virus. Good to see (though not well in the video) and hear people clapping locally and across the country.
