Some more pictures of the full moon in the late afternoon.

Some more pictures of the full moon in the late afternoon.

The skies were clear to take some pictures very early in the late afternoon of the full moon.

Took some pictures of the Moon, WAXING GIBBOUS phase.
Day before the new full moon, hopefully it will be a clear sky tomorrow to capture that.

First time taking photographs of the moon with the new lens.
Not bad I think?
This was called a super or pink moon.
Just how big and how bright, exactly? On average, super moons are about 7% bigger and about 15% brighter than a typical full Moon. However, unless you were to see a regular full Moon and a super moon side by side in the sky, the difference is very, very difficult to notice!

First moon picture with the new camera, shows that I need to get bigger lens.

Full snow moon – The name ‘Snow Moon’ is applied to the full moon of February, simply because that is the month in which the seasonal weather is most common.
More photography learning.

I believe I caught Jupiter with the moon?
Plus another morning sunrise as I continue to learn to take pictures.

Today was some more camera practicing of the moon and sky.

Carrying on with learning about taking photographs. Shots of the moon.

With more free time and getting up at silly o’clock, I decided to look at photography more.
Here are some pictures of the moon and I think I caught Jupiter in the second one.
