  • Week 27 – August 31st 2020 – Week 24 of lockdown

Global equity markets continue to benefit from the unpresented levels of stimulus measures put in place by global central banks and the loose monetary policies being undertaken by Governments. With interest rates appearing that they will be kept at record low levels for the foreseeable future the environment for equity investing remains positive even though certain parts of the market (large technology companies) are looking fully valued.

The expected result of the upcoming US election would normally be having a far larger effect on the markets but with the outcome too close to call, investors appear more focused on the recovering economy and the stimulus measures. A second term for Mr Trump should again be positive for equity markets with his business friendly policies, but even a Mr Biden win with his promises of higher taxes and increased regulation the outlook for shares does not appear overly dark.

At this moment in time, Apple are worth more than the FTSE 100.

  • Week 20 –July 13th 2020 – Week 17 of lockdown

My pension pot was now with Brewin Dolphin. It was now all go and prey that the markets cope well during these very strange times.

  • Week 14 –June 1st 2020 – Week 11 of lockdown

Going into the unknown this week.

Had a Zoom meeting with Nikki going over how my pension would be handled by Brewin Dolphin and AJ Bell for my SIPP.

It was now or never with trusting Nikki and not seeing him on that Jet Ski!!

  • Week 10 – May 4th 2020 – Week 7 of lockdown

This was a tough week for me, had I made the right decision regarding Nikki?

I was moving my three private pensions into one.

I couldn’t have done anymore background checks on Nikki or his company then I had.

Trust is a MAJOR thing for me, you so have to earn it, even more so when you’re talking about MONEY and mine and Claire FUTURE!!

  • Week 8 – April 20th 2020 – Week 5 of lockdown

People that know me, know that often I don’t follow the process or the rules, this is one of them. I had a meeting with the Government free Pensions wise service. You should really have it before you deal with a financial advisor.

I would recommend having the call and in my case it just backed up everything I had found out. From memory that are 6 ways you can handle your pension pots.

All I can recommend is, the earlier you start saving the better your future will be. 🙂
