Week 286 – August 30th – Kenley part 3
The airfield is still active and there were several gliders going up and coming down.

The airfield was being used for gliders.

I had never heard of this airfield, but obviously did great work to keep us free during World War II -
Week 286 – August 30th – Kenley part 1
Today we drove over to Kenley and walked around the airfield.
Earlier in the year was the 80th celebration of VE day.
This airfield was used a lot during the second world war, and they have done a display around the airfield perimeter about VE day.

Week 286 – August 30th – No brainer
Earlier in the week I had a telephone call with WPA regarding my health cover, as it was renewal time.
I was able to remove 16 hospitals, after I reviewed, a list was sent to me. I had never used these hospitals.
So, a saving of £60 was made.
