Over the weekend, I had been clearing out the loft and other parts of the house, as they say “de-cluttering”. After talking with my sister Wendy, she would sell items on Ebay. One of the things we gave was pocket dragons, but I decided to keep this one. You wonder why?
On Claire’s office window, every time it rained a stain was left on the window, I had looked at it before and thought I had solved it, but no.
So I went back up this time with the power hose and removed a load of muck from the guttering, but it went on to the bathroom window.
What a mess!
It gets worse, who you going to call?
It’s even worse, what’s going on at this property?
So once the guttering was cleared, I then worked on the window and now it looks this good, MJ Limited strikes again, plus no stain on the office window too
As mentioned in a DIY posting – Week 32 – October 5th 2020 – Week 29 of lockdown, regarding Claire working from home, I had removed the bed and did some painting to freshen up some of the walls and window seal. Also put up a new blind with the help of Claire.
We also got a new storage unit and a desk, due to health and safety reasons the delivery drivers, even though we had requested the delivery to the room, said it was not possible. They weren’t allowed to unpack. We told them to leave it and the James Delivery Company went into action.
I removed all the packaging and the draws to make it light and easier to carry. Our first attempt was a failure, so after discussing with the in-laws and looking at everything ourselves, plan two went into action and we got the desk up and into the room.
This is Claire new office, Claire seems happy, and what do you think?

With the pandemic not looking to be getting any better and Claire Company saying that working from home would continue, we decided to change the second room into an office for her.
The first picture is from 2017, when we had a damp issue in the room, this was all resolved and redecorated by our builder Terry and this is how it looked in 2017.

Now after many years of waiting, our next door neighbour put up a fence between our drives.
There was a small gap between the drive and fence, could I do it?
This was going up a level for me in DIY !!
I decided to concreate the gap in, towards the front of the house I put Cornwall stone into the concreate, then in the middle where the widest gap was, four solar lights. Then at the top and various other places white stone. Yes white stone, my mother-in-law thought I painted each one 🙂
What do you think?

I’ll be honest, this has been going on for a few years now, we thought we had got it resolved, when our builder Terry had blocked the hole, but in the last 18 months, every so often we would hear noise again in the roof.
When looking closer, realised that the guttering and the fascia had dropped. Though my DIY skills have come on leaps and bounds, this was out of my league. We arranged to get this fixed after seeing a local builder working.
