Week 180 – Aug 27th – Battersea Part 3
I’m sure when this was originally built (Battersea Power Station), no one thought years later it would be turned into a shopping, restaurant and cinema complex.
When walking around the Battersea Power station, I was reading about the planning and one of the ideas was to have a roller coaster ride built around it. People do come up with strange ideas.

Week 180 – Aug 26th – Double pot of gold
After so much rain which we thankfully missed when we were at Greenwich earlier today, typical for a bank holiday weekend in England, then going sunny this evening, Claire captured a double rainbow at home.
I can’t remember the last time I saw one.

Don’t see this often, double rainbow. Picture taken by Claire. -
Week 179 – Aug 16th – Rose tree
The rose tree for the memory of Claire’s mum is blooming well.
The rest of the plants not doing too badly either. Do you agree?

Claire’s mum rose blooming nicely.
Flowers doing well, though it looks like the lawn needs a cut, but the weather not helping.
The new yellow rose is flowering well. -
Week 178 – August 13th – Freddie Mercury – Part 12

Bohemian Rhapsody was the second single I ever purchased. This was the first song to have a video for it and this changed how records were produced. Some youngster’s will wonder what this item is.

Week 178 – August 13th – Freddie Mercury – Part 11
Some more pictures from the walk around Sotheby’s of Freddie Mercury items up for auction in September.

Freddie Mercury’s Knebworth Worn Shirt, 1986 – I was at this concert, which turned out to be his last live concert performance. Incredible concert.
The bright colours of Freddie kimonos
The instrument used to compose some of the greatest songs of the 20th century. Just shows what a talented man Freddie was. -
Week 178 – August 13th – Freddie Mercury – Part 10

I can’t find anything about the item on the left, the item on the right is a scarlet sequinned short legged one piece stage suit from the 1978 News of the World tour.
