Now earlier in the year (February) we had done a Government National Statistics survey about living. We were asked at the end if we would do other surveys and we said yes, not knowing that the next one would be so major!!

In early June I received a letter which had On Her Majesty’s Service, was I finally going to be James Bond 🙂

Erm NO, this was to be COVID19 swab testing, first for five weeks in a row and then once a month for a year.

We thought anything to help fight this virus, it’s not pleasant, but at least we do ourselves and we know we are in the clear or not. Plus reading all these stories about people struggling to get a test, we had them coming to us 🙂

Now as I have said earlier, I feel for any new plant that is purchased, as I know they will die at the hands of my lovely wife Claire.

But COVID19 seems to have had an impact on her, as these plants and all other plants that have been put out, have lived and died naturally, well done Claire!! xx

Had a Zoom meeting with Nikki going over how my pension would be handled by Brewin Dolphin and AJ Bell for my SIPP.

It was now or never with trusting Nikki and not seeing him on that Jet Ski!!

People that know me, know cricket is a big part of my life, when I was 10, myself and a group of friends, from April right through to October, virtually every weekend day and school holidays, we would go off to this piece of land and play cricket. We would take food and drink and just play.

I even had a trial for Kent, but only public school children were taken on.

I played adult cricket from 13 and have met some lovely people over the years, the Chelsfield Exiles Saturday was a blast, on the field and off, thankfully Claire understood what cricket meant to me and the Saturday team welcomed her.

I have been captain and chairman of the club.

In my later life,  I have played league cricket for New Ash Green and even won a medal for winning a league, I just wished the players would believe in themselves in the second team, there are some quality players that would easily walk into other teams!!.

Obviously COVID19 had stopped cricket, but as you see from the ECB roadmap, they wanted people playing, with my depression lifted, I wanted to play again, so made myself available again for New Ash Green.

We’re not the greatest gardeners in the world, until this year I pity any new plant coming to our home, as It was like signing them to an early death sentence!

This year though, the lockdown has had amazing effect on Claire and looking after the plants in the garden, nothing has died!!!

This is the left hand side of the garden, which had been completely overhauled by MJ Limited.

So the DIY project starts, now you have to remember, prior to 2020 as mentioned before, my DIY skills was breaking up stuff or passing a screw driver to my father in law and sometimes I got that wrong!

So to paint these wooden chairs was a BIG thing for me lol.

My dad was able to go for a check-up regarding his myeloma cancer, and I’m sure due to COVID19 and not having appointments, it had resurfaced.

He had two blood transfusions this week, which thankfully sorted this out and would need a daily injection to see if it could improve further.
