Week 232 – August 22nd – Surrey v Lancashire – Part 5

Rocky Flintoff. Considering this was his first class debut, it was good to see how he interacted with the crowd. Hope he has a good career.
Rory Burns letting the ball through.
Early finish due to the light, but a good day for Surrey as they finished on 83-0. With how the fixtures are planned for the rest of the season and other things going on, this is likely to be last day at a cricket match this year.
Considering the weather this summer, been lucky to see so much and very fortunate to be at Jimmy Anderson’s last test day.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and videos from the days?

Week 231 – August 16th – 20 years on
I couldn’t believe when I received an email this morning regarding a location we love.
20 years ago today, were the terrible flooding and destruction of Boscastle in Cornwall.
It’s a beautiful place and we love going there, but it must have been horrible to see all the rain and water coming down the hill roads and flooding properties and pushing items including cars into the quay and then out to the Atlantic Ocean.
As mentioned, it is a beautiful place and thankfully they have recovered to allow many more people to see the lovely village and quay. See previous blog postings.
