Month: March 2023

  • Week 157 – March 17th – Robin

Captured this robin that was happily playing around the bird house this morning.

I was quite please how this picture came out, as I was just using my iphone.

  • Week 157 – March 17th – Sports fan survey

This was an interesting survey, as it was regarding the English premiership and how much it is dominating the other leagues, especially regarding finance. For instance, the January 2023 transfer window, the premiership spent more than the other 4 big European leagues combined.

I must admit, I think the league is living in fantasy world, with the money that is being spent on players, their salaries etc.

Even if you finish last this season, the club will get £79.5 million plus. All this going on during the cost of living crisis and the war in the Ukraine.

    I made my feeling known.

  • Week 157 – March 15th – Covid19 testing

Today I received a letter from UK Health Security Agency thanking myself and Claire regarding the ending of the Covid19 infection survey as it is.

They may continue in a different format and will let us know if we are required.

It was good to be a part of the survey for the 3 years, helping the country get back on its feet after this pandemic, also useful for us regarding how we were doing regarding Covid19 and the vaccines that we took.

  • Week 156 – March 12th – Greenwich – Part 7

    Final pictures from this trip.

Never thought we would have walked that far, I did over 11,000 steps today.

Good to be out in the air and doing stuff never done before.

  • Week 156 – March 12th – Greenwich – Part 4

We reached the O2, I was expecting us to walk this far…..

It was a country western weekend there, so lots of people in cowboy boots and hats.

We went into the O2 and had a drink and rested.

When we came out, we saw this sculpture that we had never seen before, though this was the first time we had been here for quite a while.

The sculpture is 18 meters high and as been here since early 2022.

  • Week 156 – March 12th – Greenwich – Part 3

Today I was the first time that I had walked over the Blackwall tunnel. This tunnel run under the river Thames.

As we got closer to the O2, I was quite surprised to see that there were no steps on the roof. Rather them then me.

    Greenwich
People hooked on to rope to exit the O2 roof top. I was very surprised.
