Week 212 – Apr 6th – The Ivy restaurant
Today we went up to London to The Ivy restaurant for a brunch.
The food, drink and service were excellent again.
A couple of pictures of the food. Fully recommended.

Week 212 – Apr 3rd – Claire mammogram
This afternoon, I took Claire for her mammogram.
It’s good that her company offer this, even if it’s goes on to her tax.
At least she can be checked to make sure everything is OK.

Week 212 – Apr 2nd – Understanding concussion
This evening I attend a webinar run by the ECB concerning concussion. It was presented by Claire Bolton (a safety officer at the ECB).
It was very interesting and learnt a few things.
Your head doesn’t need to be hit by an object to cause concussion which I didn’t know, anything that causes rattling in your head/brain as this is moving it when it shouldn’t.
Red flags are – Loss of consciousness, vomiting, loss of memory, head bleeding or nose bleeding (when hit), double vision.
Other signs are wobbling, mood changes, blank stares, confusion, dealing with sound and light.
They should be removed from the game, even if they say they are OK and monitored.
It is then a minimum of 21 days before returning to the game, if symptoms return during the 21 days, you start again from that and cannot return for 21 days.
The 4 R’s – Recognise, Remove, Recover and Return
Claire came across very well and it was very useful to understand about concussion.
Useful link – https://concussionlearning.ecb.co.uk/
On the link its interesting to see Eoin Morgan reacted to being hit and shows how you need to check the person out.

Week 212 – Apr 2nd – Can we get the pump
This morning I went with Claire to see the diabetic nurse to see if Claire can go on to a pump that allows her to control her insulin better and then her diabetes.
Of course being Claire, it’s not going to be straight forward because of the amount of insulin she is taking, but the nurse was positive about it.
Keeping our fingers cross, especially after the impact that the Libre has had.

Week 212 – Apr 1st – Leeds United v Hull City
Leeds United 3 – Hull City 1 – HT 1-1
Byram (9) Carvalho (34)
Summerville (88 pen)
James (90+7)
It’s always more fun, blogging when your team win’s and were on a roll this year. Keep it up Leeds.
Late goals from Crysencio Summerville and Dan James – with a 40-yard finish – ensured Leeds United stayed in the Championship’s automatic promotion places after beating Hull City at Elland Road.
Sam Byram headed Leeds ahead after Summerville’s shot had been saved, but Hull drew level thanks to an excellent Fabio Carvalho finish.
Leeds missed some great chances before the break, while Hull posed a threat in the early part of the second half.
Mateo Joseph hit the Hull post with 12 minutes to go, but Leeds rallied and Summerville scored from the spot after he was fouled by Regan Slater – and following a disagreement with Joel Piroe about who should take the spot-kick.
James sealed victory in added time with a remarkable shot from just inside the Hull half after visiting keeper Ryan Allsop had gone up field for a corner and his net was left unguarded.
It’s getting tight at the top, only two points separating the top three teams, as we near the crunch end of the season. Only six games to go. COME ON LEEDS
We need to keep this good form going to finish in the top two as I don’t want us in the play-offs.
