Week 289 – September 15th – Oyster card
I wasn’t aware that turning 60, you could get free travel on British rail and the underground if you live in a London borough.
So, I went on the London Transport website and filled out a form for my Oyster card.
You do have to pay an administration fee and renewal fee, but after a couple of trips, everything will be free.

This morning, I had a follow up call regarding my fractured right collarbone. Mainly to check how I was and to arrange follow up appointments.

Week 288 – September 13th – Downton Abbey
Tonight, we had a pleasant evening at the Bluewater cinema, watching Downton Abbey in the recliner chairs.
This is the last film regarding the families of Downton Abbey and an excellent film and ending to the series and films.

Week 288 – September 12th – Double fracture
So, after putting up with the pain for the week, I finally decided to go to A&E and find out what had happened.
I wasn’t expecting to be in and out of A&E within 2 hours.
After having the X-Ray and seeing the consultant again to show me the double fracture of my collarbone, I asked what difference, if I hadn’t come in, about the recovery of the injury.
He said basically you know what the issue is and have a sling.
I’m glad I left going, as I dread to think how many hours I would have been in A&E on a Saturday night. Shows I have a high pain threshold and why I was nicknamed maddog for cricket.
