  • Week 329 – June 24th – Second car service

    Due to all the extra mileage because of Claire’s dad’s health, the car requires it’s second service already, on a day that is meant to be very hot. 

    It certainly is hot today and there was no air conditioning at the car service place.  

    No issues reported, but when I got home and checked the service book, there was no car dealer stamp which is annoying, will get that done when I’m next there. 

    As I mentioned before, it’s good that you get a video report of all the parts under the car and how everything is. 

    It was the warmest June day on record, reaching 36.1C in Hampshire. 

  • Week 327 – June 13th – Four numbers

    Lottery
    It could be you, lol. our biggest win for a long time.

    Our biggest Lottery win since I started doing this blog, as we got four numbers.

  • Week 319 – April 16th – One year on

    Can it really be one year on since my dad passes away?  

    As someone was saying to me yesterday, life just continues, which does and always will, but everyone loses people at some point on that journey. 

    RIP DAD. 

  • Week 319 – April 14th – Car recall

    I had received an email from KIA asking if I could take the car in for an update to the system. 

    Does annoy me, when you arrive and they don’t have the full information that you have provided them when booking.  

    Though it was the first time I have gone there and it was easy to park. 

    It was all electronic stuff for the update and fix and done in an hour. 

  • Week 317 – April 3rd – Lucky dip extra

    Thanks to a roll down, a couple of lucky dips gave us a £10 win

    Due to no jackpot winner, every prize was rolled down, so a lucky dip line, also got £5. 

    Every little helps. 

  • Week 316 – March 29th – Magic radio

    Whilst we were traveling to a garden centre in Tunbridge Wells, one of my songs came on the radio “I’m only human after all”. Was singing along and then after it I had my name read out, as Claire has text into the Anna Richardson show, she found it amusing what the song meant to me. 

  • Week 309 – February 6th – Magic Radio

    I had my name read out on Magic Radio, as I answered a music question correctly.  

    Still got it lol. 

  • Week 299 – November 28th – A treat 

    With it being Black Friday and so-called cheap deals around. I went to Curry’s and looked about getting a new laptop to help with the viewing of cricket matches from my birthday money I had received.  

    After reading up some information before hand and looking around on the internet and then in the shop, I was able to buy a good HP laptop with over £300 saving. 

    Thank you everyone that had given me a gift. 

  • Week 295 – November 1st – Sponsored a guide dog

    We were at a garden centre in Tunbridge Wells and were captured by a man selling sponsoring for a guide dog.  

    After talking with him, we decided to sponsor a guide dog called Parsnip. Brings back memories as my auntie who was my godmother was blind.  

    Parsnip is only a few months old, and we will have access to his journey. 

  • Week 295 – October 31st – Lottery win

    After last year, it’s been a very quiet year on Lottery wins, but today we managed to get three ball £30 win plus a lucky dip. 

    Every little help, even more so in this day and age.
