  • Week 176 – July 30th – Back below 18 stone again

After quite a bit of walking this week, I was able to get my weight back below 18 stone again.

    17st 13lbs 8oz

Hopefully I can keep there for a while this time and loose some more weight.

  • Week 176 – July 29th – New TV

We decided to treat ourselves to a new television today. Kept it at the same size of a 32” screen.

For something modern, it was a bit painful to setup, because of the amount of details that had to be entered especially around the internet.

Who would have thought you would be doing that on television?

Hopefully I can appear on screen in something new.

  • Week 174 – July 16th – Mission Impossible

Today we went and saw the new Mission Impossible film, Dead Reckoning Part 1.  Very enjoyable action film, but no wonder they have split it into two. Would fully recommend.

This post will self-destruct in 5 seconds! 💣💣💣💣💣

    Or will it lol

  • Week 174 – July – 16th – Butterfly

I was sitting in the garden this morning and this butterfly, I believe a white cabbage was flying around.

It landed on one of the patio plants and I was able to take this picture.

    Pretty good I think.

    Garden
I think a great capture of a butterfly in the garden.
  • Week 174 – July 12th – Yes not a good year

This was feedback I had from the market analyst.

“2022 was a dreadful year for the fixed interest market as it suffered record breaking losses caused by the sky rocketing interest rates. We were meaningfully underweight but with hindsight should have been even more aggressive in this position. Now with interest rates appearing to be nearing what is expected to be their peaks we have moved towards a more benchmark neutral position. This repositioning of our asset allocation is behind the purchase of the additional units of Robeco.

Robeco has been our best performing fixed interest collectives’ year to date, performing relatively well because it has been positioned to be less sensitive to increasing interest rates (duration).”

I’ll be honest, I’m still not sure about Robeco, happy to be proven wrong.

  • Week 173 – July 9th – Not again

Back over the 18 stone mark again. 18st 1lb 4oz.

Looks like it’s going to be a right battle this year with the 18 stone goal.

  • Week 173 – July 9th – New plants

We added some new greenery to the garden today.

    Garden
New planets for the garden. Hope they stay green.
  • Week 173 – July 8th – Samphire Hoe

We were down at Claire’s dad and took a drive to Samphire Hoe.

This location was created from all the earth that was dug out to make the tunnel between England and France.

Captured this tall ship on the English Channel.

Found out it was called Thalassa.

  • Week 173 – July 8th – Gas coming down

We got an email from British Gas, that thankfully we will be lowering our monthly payment from £135.30 per month to £101.58.

As you can see though, it’s still over £100, which is nearly 2/3 more then what we were paying at the start of the year.

At least it’s going in the right direction.

  • Week 173 – July 7th – Richmond Park

We got back to Richmond Park and what a difference to last time.

    It was 30 C (86F).

The park is huge, we must have walked just a fraction of it.

A couple of pictures from the trip.

    Richmond Park
I was told by a fishing expert, that this a bream. Good to see such clean water.

    Richmond Park
Not a cloud in the sky, complete opposite to last time we visited here.
