Week 123 – July 19th – The heat is on
Well today became the hottest day known in the UK, with the record first broken at 11:51 and kept being broken throughout the day.
In all 39 weather sites locations broke the previous record set in 2019, with the final highest temperature being recorded at 40.3C, 104F
Where I live, we hit 38.3C, 101F.
Fires were close by in Dartford, but thankfully no one lost their lives, thanks to the Fire Brigade.
Hopefully it will be awhile before we hit those temperatures again.

The grass is taking a beating from the hot weather, but at least were having a summer this year. -
Week 120 – June 27th – HM Land Registry’s Property Alert
Just a reminder, as I have posted this before.
I would definitely recommend this service, as it’s monitoring that nothing is happening to your properties.
I was quite shocked to read, that people have lost their homes due to someone selling it and they not knowing.

Week 119 – June 23rd – £100 up
In a recent post, I mentioned that the cost to fill up a car with petrol hit £100.
Today, I had the pleasure of doing that myself, with a 1 litre of fuel costing £1.91, easily went passed the £100 mark to fill the car up.
When will this end?

Week 117 – June 12th – Ruxley for lunch
On the way back, we decided to go to Ruxley garden centre for some lunch.
To refresh myself, I had a strawberry lemonade in this quaint glass.

Refreshing strawberry lemonade. -
Week 117 – June 10th – Always good to enquire
Yesterday we went to a coffee shop for a coffee with our reusable cups and you get extra rewards for doing this.
During the day I checked and noticed I hadn’t been correctly rewarded.
So I filled in a form and today I had a response from the customer service and was given double points.
Always good to check and follow up

Week 117 – June 9th – Ridiculous
For the first time in this country to fuel a petrol car up, cost over £100.
It’s just ridiculous how everything has gone up in the last few months.
Something has to give as the cost of living is just spiraling out of control!!
