Week 171 – June 22nd – Alnwick Castle – Part 1

Today we drove to Alnwick Castle, including going up Scafell Pike pass that is the highest pass in North England, the car did well and I’m just glad it was an automatic.

We had been before many year ago to the castle and had booked the tickets in advance, but these only allowed us into the castle and grounds, but not the gardens. We were pretty sure this wasn’t the case before and people that know me, I have a very good memory.

This is not clear on the website, but we as this was a fair journey, we purchased tickets for the gardens too.
