What a day, we left home just before 10am and took the train up to Charing Cross, we strolled down to a Costa, near the Embankment and then sat in the Embankment Park.
Once we finished the coffee, we went on the underground Northern Line to Leicester Square and changed to the Piccadilly Line for Finsbury Park.
I’ve never been to this part of London, but through the help of a friend Umit, who lifelong Arsenal fan, he helped me with the route to the ground, but before we left, we went into The Twelve Pine pub and had a lovely steak baguette and chips with a drink.
Then we took the walk to the ground, as we got closer to the ground, I used the Whats3Word to guide us to turnstile C.
We arrived here about 2:20pm, the turnstiles weren’t opening to 5pm.
I must admit, this was very badly organised, just a few barriers placed, but I’m glad we got here early, as after about 3:30pm, the rain started to fall.
The security staff turned up and all they kept saying was move back, I said, must ask the people behind to move, back, as I’ve been here over two hours and I wasn’t losing my spot.
Finally after bag check, we got in and entered the north end, the tickets were a bit fatigue, but this helped as basically we could sit anywhere, as we were one of first in, we went level with the stage, but were getting wet, so we went back a few rows, I think we were row 17 at entrance 8 and watch the performances from here.
I hope you enjoy as much as we did.
